FPSE has been on the store for over a year and has out-lasted any other PSX emulator released for android. Most games will work without having to play around with FPSE’s settings too much, just in case you want to play around with them though, here is a guide to get you started! And if you have any trouble they have their own forum for you to ask away with any questions on! Click here to see the Xperia Play section of their forum. You can map all the Playstation buttons to your Xperia PLAYS gamepad and if your using touch there is a nice onscreen pad too. What better for Xperia PLAY gamers here is that you can even map the shoulder buttons to your volume keys, which even trumps the official Playstation pocket app! SWEET!

The emulator itself has constant developer support and updates with more promised in the future and is extremely stable compared to other emulators on the market. It has a high compatibility rate with games and even supports the vibration function like the original console! It also features support for ‘guncon’ games like Time Crisis! The emulator supports lots of file types and even games you have compressed to save on space using Pocket ISO, more on that here!

One major feature that is exciting is that fact that touchpad support is included with google’s ICS update, which means once your Xperia PLAY has been updated to the latest version of Android you’ll get to use the touchpad’s just like you can on the Playstation Pocket App! Out of all available emulators we found FPSE to be the best and easiest to work with!
