Sega's Jet Set Radio HD coming to Android

Sega have announced yet another one of their classic games as coming to Android this summer.
Sega have such a huge back catalog, they can just re-release their classics from Megadrive up to Dreamcast and just live of them. They have made some unbeatable titles in the past and one of their least known titles in the UK particularly is 'Jet Set Radio'. But we know what this game is all about. :)

Jet Set Radio is very unique, visually and in concept. First of all it is one of the first titles to use the cell shaded technique with 3D rendering. Giving it a cartoony look which we are familiar with on Android with games like Reckless Getaway. It is also unique in it's style of gameplay, to the point where it's in a triple decker sub genre all on it's own. It blends roller blade'n, graffiti art and also a tiny element of gang warfare we've seen with GTA. But you don't shoot rival gangs and mobsters, oh no... you just spray up their turf to make it yours.

Apparently it isn't just going to be a remake with virtual touch buttons and better graphics. There is going to be some new elements added to this game especially for mobile. For example you will be able to take a picture with your mobile camera and use it in the game for spraying on (somehow). Either way it's going to be awesome fun and a great new title for us Android gamers.
Will it be optimised for Xperia PLAY and USB pads as well as touch though... I think so. I mean, Sega are on the ball with button configurations. Most of the games which are ported from classic pads (Sonic CD) and ported from console downloads (Sonic 4, Virtua Tennis) have been configured for both. As this game will be going first to PC, PSN and X-Box. I have no boubt that the Android version will continue to hold those controller set ups for us advanced gamers on Android. Release date is unknown but expect late August to early September.
