Onlive gaming has now come to smartphones and tablets and the best gadget in the world the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play. Has the gaming future arrived in the form of Onlive? Well we will be testing it in depth for xperiagamer.com. Fully Xperia play optimized for the controll pad it is now more playable then using touch screen controlls or an external controller.

About - So for those of you that are not up to speed with what Onlive is, then please have at look at their http://www.onlive.co.uk/. In short, it is an online service which streams state of the art high Definition games over the web to your device. Device being the key world here as indeed it could be anything, as long as it has a screen, an operating system and a form of input, whether it be touch or buttons. Just like a movie would stream to your phone without having the file itself but also your input or button presses will be sent to interact with the game. You can play it on a computer, on a smart phone, on a tablet or you can even buy a little box to plug into your home TV and a generic USB gamepad (I guess an Onlive console if you will). This is the interesting part as they are thinking about launching for smart phones and I can only assume that developing for Android Smart Phones is easy due to the open nature of the OS. Which brings me to the point that Xperia PLAY is perfect for this, without even arguing about it.
