Max Payne Release Date Confirmed
Rockstar games continues releasing it's revolutionary portfolio to Android.
We have known for a while that Rockstar have been planning to release their original Max Payne title to Android gamers. Ever since they released to the world an optimized version of the legendary Grand Theft Auto 3, they have promised to bring more of their titles to the smart phone gaming world. So next on the list is their third person shooter Max Payne, which first appeared on TV screens back in 2001 on the PC and later the Playstation 2.
So Rockstar have confirmed with us this week an official release date for this title via their website and it isn't that far away. This should be appearing on Google PLAY Store on April 26th, so before the month has even finished, we could be shooting up our bus jouney's, Max Payne style. It is sad to read that iOS users will be getting this title two weeks earlier than us on Android but frankly, we are all a bit used to it. The price is yet to be confirmed also but I am confident, like GTA3, this shoudl be less than £4 ($5 roughly). We are also yet to find out if it will be fully optimised for the Xperia PLAY controls but after the GTA3 release, again I would happily bet money on it being so.
Below is some screen shots to wet your appetite.

Rockstar games did such an incredible job on GTA3 for Android and despite us Xperia PLAY owners getting a few dodgy updates, unlike Gameloft they continued and sorted the problems. They even programmed the USB gamepad function for Tablet gamers, so we could enjoy it on all of our gadgets. Let's hope they continue this high quality work with Max Payne.
