Max Payne coming at last!

After a month of silence, Rockstar finally reveal compatibility and a release date for the Android version of Max Payne.
We were starting to give up hope of ever seeing Max Payne released on Android or the Xperia devices. Just as we started to believe it was as ill fated as Lara Croft, a cheeky tweet came out from Rockstar games yesterday and a post on their website. It not only reveals that the Android version of the game will be finally released this Thursday, the acceptable price of £2.99 and also a compatibility list.

The compatibility clearly states that both Xperia S (kinda obvious) and Xperia PLAY will be fully working with the games release. If you did through the comments also, you will see that Rockstar have confirmed full optimisation for the Xperia PLAY gamepad too. We didn't expect Rockstar Games to optimise for Grand Theft Auto and they did. Although it did take quite a few updates to get the controls right, it was worth the wait.

So, make sure you keep posted on our Twitter feed @XperiaGamer for when exactly this Thursday the legendary title will be available. No doubt we will be keeping a hawk eye on the global internet so we can be one of the first to download it. Hopefully before their servers become jammed. Thanks to VariousFor for bringing this to our attention.
