Pixel junkie dungeon quest game Delver, to get the Xperia PLAY treatment.
If you have not played Delver yet, it is a new game on the block. In fact it is still in early beta stages and the guy is still working on the game, so there is still plenty of good things to come. Including... optimisation for Xperia PLAY! We will wait for the full V1.0 release before reviewing here on this site but I do recommend you downloading it and giving it a go as it's quite a lot of fun.
We were introduced to this game by
@Seong_Gino on Twitter, so it's always worth mentioning finds to us guys. And after playing we thought we should contact the developer to find out if there is any plans for an Xperia Play version and within hours, he replied confirming the plans. Although he didn't give us a date, it is on the road map of updates to come out and by the sounds of things there is a huge amount of them to come before we hit a proper release version of this game. This also includes a multiplayer mode too, which is great because frankly we need more good multi-player games on the PLAY. At the moment Gameloft have the lions share of them.
Delver is a first person Dungeon style game. The aim of the game is to escape to the surface by killing the enemies and creatures tat lay in your way. It has the same pixelated charm that Minecraft got us hooked on. In fact it controls almost identical to Minecraft, but obviously it's not a 'crafting' game. You wonder the darkened dungeons for weapons and tools to help you on your quest. When you die, you die! There is no more lives or anything. here is the really cool part too. The entire game is generated randomly, so you never play the same game again. How cool is that?
I'm not being paid to promote this game at all. But it is good, even on the early version thats out now. So give it a try yourself and soon enough we shall have a full Xperia PLAY version. Click the Google Play Store button to check out the store pages of this game.
