Today Madfinger Games released their second big update for Dead Trigger, fixing the broken controls for the Xperia PLAY optimisation.
Not getting off to the best start. Dead Trigger has been faced with a lot of criticism since launch, with a whole load of issues on different handsets (Adreno 205 crash plus other bugs) and the way the game is paid for (IAP - in app purchase). The other uproar is dealing with (or rather caving into is) the problem with piracy. On launch the game retailed for £0.75, a very low price for a great game if ask us, but after Dead Trigger version 1 being modded/hacked/pirated so much the company has now decided to give it away for free. This is perhaps giving in to the pirates which is frustrating but is also upsetting the 50,000 people who paid for it legally. With all these problems and the massive influx of complaints the 18 strong team at Madfinger seem to be under a lot of pressure. However, that has not stopped them from continuing their support and fixing these issues one by one.
Version 1.1.1 brings major bug fixes to Xperia Play Controls as the last update 1.1.0 had no response apart from the fire key (R-shoulder) aim down sights (L-shoulder) and the reload button (up). So now at last after a couple of the initial release for Android Xperia Play users get there first taste of blood in Madfingers top rating zombie first person shooter, instead from just being able to stand there and shoot the zombies that came close to you on the first level. The other nice thing that sets this version apart is the challenge, since Madfinger discovered that their so called Free-To-Play game could only be completed on higher levels with IAP perks making the game Freemium (Need to pay in app price to complete). They have now corrected the settings and now the game can be completed to the end with no need for IAP making people that dont want to pay anything even happier.
